Jo loved revisiting this archive brooch and exploring new design possibilities in a new material. For jewellers, brooches represent an exciting, large canvas for artistic sculptural ideas. Pattern 2 brooch is an archetypal piece of JHW design, with many intricate elements coming together to form one whole. Each square slice catches the light beautifully when worn, like dappled sunlight on water. The effect is a geology-inspired, architecturally charged, metamorphic piece of wearable sculpture.
This brooch is made in cast aluminium; a beautiful shade of grey and an excellent lightweight material for larger, sculptural pieces as it won’t drag on your clothes.
