I first met Amy when she approached me about remodelling her engagement ring. I’m always very impressed when someone wants to remodel a precious ring, it’s something a lot of people think about but don’t necessarily go ahead with. Amy tells the story in her own words:

‘I first heard about Jo’s jewellery through my sister. She has had several pieces of jewellery designed by Jo over the years and I have always loved them. When I got engaged, my fiance gave me a beautiful, very traditional solitaire diamond engagement ring. As the years have past by, my taste in jewellery changed and I wanted to re model the ring to reflect my style more. Asking Jo to remodel it felt like a very natural decision as I had always loved her designs so much.
The design
I didn’t have a vision for exactly what I wanted when I first spoke to Jo about the project. I knew that I wanted to move away from the traditional design and platinum band, a 'nod' to tradition but was very open to ideas.

I started by looking on Jo's website to create a shortlist of rings that I liked; that process really helped to focus my ideas. We met and went through my selection, talking through the different options. What I really loved about the process was the fact I liked different aspects from different rings and Jo was able to provide ideas for how she could bring those characteristics together in a way that would create a unique ring. We narrowed it down to two different options and with much deliberation (and patience from Jo), I made a decision.
The finished ring
I was blown away when Jo produced my new ring. It's something I have wanted to do for a long time but had also been nervous as it wasn't just me who needed to love it but my husband too. Thankfully he loves the ring too! And loves the fact that I now love my engagement ring even more.
My new ring feels completely aligned to my style and I adore it. It was already incredibly precious because my husband had given me the beautiful diamond, but now there’s a new sentimental layer because I used the money my lovely dad had left me, to make this remodel happen.
